Changing a rule's status means changing whether KANA Response will apply the rule to messages arriving at the corresponding e-mail queue. Being able to change the status is useful for transient events, such as annual sales, because you can turn these rules on or off as needed.
In Content Administration:
In the content browser, click the Rules entry under the appropriate department.
Expand the rule group in which the rule is stored.
Select the rule whose status you want to change.
Click the icon in the Active column of the Rules pane, or clear the Active checkbox in the Rule pane.
Click the Refresh the list icon.
When prompted whether you want to save changes, click Yes.
When the screen refreshes, the icon in the status column changes.
